Welcome to a Whole New World

Perhaps more secretive and clannish than any other group of men, treasure hunters are legendary for their stoic insistence on absolute discretion when it comes to the details of their research and hunts. They don’t readily part with secrets, and when you realize that there may be years of life invested in just one bit of information, you begin to understand why the world of true treasure hunters is off-limits to all except an intimate inner circle.

For these men, trust is a way of life, confidentiality the name of the game, and outsiders must earn their respect. Being “in the know” makes you a rare individual indeed, and Executive Producer Robert “Chewie” Lewis Knecht is one of those few people.

Truly one of their own, Robert has gained the respect and trust of three distinct groups of life-long treasure hunters – men who have come to realize that they may be the last of a dying breed unless their stories are told, and their skills and knowledge are passed on to a new generation of men who will continue in their footsteps.

Diggers and Divers will enter the lives of these treasure hunters, revealing the complexities of their relationships, and the intimate details of some of the greatest adventures on earth. Unlike the retrospective “treasure found” documentaries of the past, Diggers and Divers will bring real-time, sometimes minute-by-minute, authentic treasure hunting to life through unprecedented access to seasoned treasure hunters as they race to claim the prizes that have been sought for centuries, before time and money run out, or their prize is discovered by an ever-present rival.
