We invite you to learn more
about the treasures you've seen on Pawn Stars
This is one of the most well documented treasure discoveries in history! I’ve read books about this wreck! Ever since I started working in the pawn business I’ve wanted sunken treasure – and this is the mother load!
-Rick Harrison, star of History Channel’s Pawn Stars
Three hundred years ago, in Surat, India, a mountain of silver rupees was placed on board a Indian trader bound for the riches of the Orient by way of the Spice Route. The rupees had been minted by order of Shah Aurangzeb Alamgir, the sixth and last great mogul emperor of India. Aurangzeb was the son of Shah Jahan, builder of the most magnificent memorial in the world: the sun-white, glistening, marble towered Taj Mahal. Today, only three surviving coin clumps, and only a few of the individual pieces remain of the once vast treasure. To learn more about the Taj Mahal Sunken Treasure, and how Sir Arthur C. Clarke, Captain Carl Fismer and Robert Lewis Knecht told its incredible story to the world, please visit www.TajMahalSunkenTreasure.com.
To purchase a coin of the very few left to collectors, please give us a call. We have a limited number of grade 1-5 coins and bezeled pieces in sterling silver and 14K gold with and without precious stones.
The Taj Mahal Sunken Treasure
Dutch East India Company (VOC) Bell
Chartered in 1602, the Dutch East India Company (VOC) quickly grew to be the most influential and successful trading organization to date. This trade bell, forged in the mid-1700's, is a stunning testament to their success. The bronze bell stands just over 18" tall, and weighs in at 38 pounds. With the clapper intact, the bell has a resonate peel even today. Captain Carl Fismer acquired the bell from Rick at Gold and Silver Pawn when he was called in to authenticate it.
